Ashland Assisted Housing shall not on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin, deny any family or individual the opportunity to apply for or receive assistance under the Department of Housing and Urban Development‘s Housing Choice Voucher Program.  To further its commitment to full compliance with applicable Civil Rights laws, Ashland Assisted Housing Authority will provide access to fair housing information to all Housing Choice Voucher participants.

It is the policy of the City of Ashland to cooperate closely with the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights in order to safeguard all individuals within the city from discrimination because of his or her race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status in connection with housing; thereby to protect their interest in personal dignity and freedom from humiliation, to make available to the city their full productive capabilities, to achieve a condition in which individuals of similar income levels have a like range of housing available to them regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or familial status.
