Supervisor: Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager
Grade: 105 / 106
Class Characteristics: Under general supervision, performs varied secretarial and clerical tasks related to the division requiring exercise of judgment in applying prescribed procedures and methods to routine matters.
General Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares and proofreads correspondence for sometimes confidential matters. Answers telephone inquiries and directs calls appropriately. Collects, reviews, and processes incoming mail. Maintains and searches for files, reports, and other documentation. Orders office supplies and ensures proper inventory is maintained. Serves as a receptionist and directs visitors appropriately. Prepares information and materials for meetings. Coordinates City activities and works on special projects. Assists with additional administrative and clerical duties as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Training and Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by one (1) to three (3) years directly related work experience as Secretary. Notary Commission from Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Overtime Provision: Non-exempt.
Salary: Salary range $12.00/hr. to $13.50/hr., depending on qualifications.
