The city has prepared amendments to the original action plan that was approved earlier. The City of Ashland will receive additional funding of $184,193 of 2008 CDBG Program funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The required proposed amended 2008 Program Year Action Plan regarding CDBG-R is available for review at the Ashland City Building, Department of Economic Development, Department of Planning and Community Development (Room 208), the Ashland Commission on Human Rights Office in the Mayo Arcade Building, the Boyd County Library on Central Avenue and on the internet at www.ashlandky.org.
The Department of Planning and Community Development will receive comments concerning the amended plan for a 7 (seven) days beginning May 25, 2009 ending June 1, 2009. Anyone is welcome to submit written and/or oral comments on the plan. Please stop by Room 208, in the City Building anytime Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM to discuss the proposed plan. Comments may also be submitted at a public hearing that will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the Commission Chamber on the third floor of the City Building, 1700 Greenup Avenue.
Copies of any of the above-mentioned documents will be provided to citizens and groups, upon request, free of charge during the comment period. Upon request these documents will be made available to non-English speaking persons and persons with disabilities.
