Women-owned and Ethnic-Minority Business Loan Program

Information For

The City of Ashland is accepting applications for the Women-Owned and Ethnic-Minority Business Loan Program. This program provides financial assistance with a forgivable loan to encourage women and ethnic-minority business owners to expand or create a new business. This project is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant.

Applications may be obtained from and returned to the Department of Community and Economic Development located in the Ashland City Building at 1700 Greenup Avenue, Room 208, Ashland, KY 41101. Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on January 31, 2024. Click here to apply!

The City of Ashland, through its City Manager and Department of Community and Economic Development, reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of an application should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Ashland.

The Economic Development Women Owned & Ethnic Minority Business Loan will provide working capital to encourage women and ethnic minority business owners by expanding current businesses or create new ownerships.  The program is designed to provide financial assistance for a capital or fixed asset in the form of a forgivable loan.  This program is funded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and is contingent on continued funding.

Application deadline is January 31, 2024 at 5 PM.
