The Floodwall Division is responsible for maintaining over three miles of a concrete floodwall along the Ohio River and several hundred feet of earthen levees on the west end of Ashland. The division closes underground gates and above ground gates, if necessary, during high water events and pumps out drainage water through six pump stations.
