COVID-19 UpdatesDropbox

As of today March 16th, 2020, we are asking our citizens to use additional options FIRST as a way of communicating or conducting business with the City of Ashland Governmental Offices and Services. This will enable us to adhere to the guidance from the Governor and the CDC in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Attached is a link to the City of Ashland’s phone tree list; please CALL for questions or needs you may have vs stopping by the city building. Email addresses can also be found under each department on our website as well.

If you need to pay any utilities, taxes, fines, or licenses; you may do so on our website at the following link or by calling 1-888-705-1213. You may also use the dropbox that is located on the Korean War Veterans Way (between the city building and the Daily Independent). There are envelopes available and the dropbox is a convenient way to drop off your payment. (see image) If you are struggling to pay any license fees, please call 606-385-3359.

As a reminder, the Mayor and Commissioners have directed suspending Water Shutoffs for the next 30 days (till April 13th) to allow our citizens and customers the ability to practice good hygiene efforts. Fees and charges will continue to accrue on all accounts. The city reserves the right to rescind this policy at any time. We will reassess in 30 days as information continues to develop.

The following items will be closed/canceled until at least March 27th:
• City playgrounds, ball fields, athletic courts, and public restrooms
• Park Board Meeting
• Capital Projects Committee Meeting
• Ashland Planning Commission Meeting
• Ashland Board of Zoning Meeting

The Ashland Board of Commissioners Meeting will take place on March 26th at 6:00pm. Although it is a public meeting, we encourage all to tune in to the live stream provided by MyTown TV on our Facebook page, website, and YouTube Channel.

Please be cautious with flushing wet wipes that you may be using, this could lead to clogged systems and unnecessary need for repairs.

If you cannot accomplish your needs by using the steps above and you do enter the city building, effective March 17th, 2020, there will be a clearly marked Visitor Reception window in the lobby. All Visitors must stop by this counter, the customer service representative will ask a few questions to determine if access to a department is necessary or if they can help in an alternative manner. If access is permitted, you will be issued a visitor label.

If you are sick or experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please do not enter any facility. Please continue to adhere to the guidelines of washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water or use hand sanitizer if this is unavailable. Please practice social distancing as much as possible. Continue to stay up to date with our local Ashland-Boyd County Health Department and the KY COVID-19 website or by calling the general public phone number: 1-800-722-5725.

We are adjusting our processes as information is continuing to evolve and we will update you if there are any changes. We appreciate your patience as we continue to be proactive in our efforts and care for our citizens. We are all in this together!
