Opening of Housing Choice Voucher

The City of Ashland Assisted Housing Agency Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) waiting list will open September 20, 2021 at 9am (EST). The goal of the Ashland Assisted Housing Agency is to provide improved living conditions for low-income families while maintaining their rent payments at an affordable level and to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing for eligible participants.
Requirements of the voucher program include income eligibility and additional screening.
Applications for the program may be picked up at the City Building, 1700 Greenup Avenue, silver housing box on the first floor, and the Ashland Transportation Center lobby located at 99 15th Street.
Applications must contain all required information as stated on the application for submission. Failure to do so will result in denial.
Applications may be submitted on a walk-in basis at 1700 Greenup, Suite 212, Ashland, Kentucky during regular business hours. Housing Specialists will only be available Monday and Wednesday from 9-11am and 2-4pm, but additional times are available by scheduling an appointment. Applications may also be dropped off in the silver drop box on the first floor of the City building or emailed to sect8@ashlandky.org.
